01. File Preparation & Technical Requirements
What 3D file formats do you accept?
We prefer STEP files for mechanical parts and engineering designs, and STL, OBJ, or 3MF files for organic shapes, props, and general prints. If you have another format, contact us to check compatibility.
What is the maximum build volume/print area?
We specialize in large-format manufacturing! Our industrial FDM printers can accommodate massive single-piece prints up to 800 x 800 x 1000 mm. If your design is even larger, we can expertly slice it into modular sections with alignment keys for easy assembly.
What minimum wall thickness should my model have?
For structural integrity and durable functional parts, we recommend a minimum wall thickness of 1.5mm to 2mm. Thinner walls may be prone to flexing or weak layer bonding depending on the material chosen.
Do you offer 3D modeling, file repair, or CAD design services?
Yes! If you only have a concept, a sketch, or a broken physical part, our design team can help bring it to life. We also offer file repair services to fix non-manifold geometry, holes, or overlapping meshes before printing.
How do you handle intellectual property (IP) and proprietary designs?
We treat all customer files with strict confidentiality. Your designs are only used to fulfill your order and are never shared, displayed, or reused without your explicit permission. Files are securely archived or deleted upon request.
02. Materials & Technologies
What 3D printing technology do you use?
We exclusively use FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printing. FDM is ideal for creating robust, structural, mechanical, and large-scale parts using reliable thermoplastic filaments.
Which materials do you offer, and how do I choose?
● PLA: Best for aesthetic models, large architectural prototypes, and low-stress items (eco-friendly and easy to print).
● PETG: Great balance of strength, impact resistance, and layer adhesion; highly versatile for general mechanical parts.
● ABS / ASA: High temperature and UV resistance; ideal for functional outdoor parts, automotive components, and end-use hardware.
● TPU: Flexible, rubber-like material for gaskets, seals, grips, and shock absorption.
● Carbon Fiber / Glass Filled Filaments: High-rigidity, ultra-strong composite materials for demanding engineering applications.
Are your printed materials UV-resistant, heat-resistant, or food-safe?
It depends on the polymer. Materials like ASA handle UV exposure and outdoor weather exceptionally well. Standard 3D-printed FDM parts are generally not food-safe out of the box because microscopic layer lines can trap bacteria, unless sealed with a food-grade coating.
What post-processing is included with your prints?
Every print includes standard support removal and general cleanup (such as removing primary support structures and clearing out loose debris). Any advanced post-processing—such as extensive sanding, priming, painting, or chemical smoothing—is left to the end user.
03. Pricing, Ordering & Lead Times
How is the cost of a 3D print calculated?
Pricing is calculated based on material volume (grams of filament used), estimated print time (machine utilization), and handling labor (support removal and preparation).
Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ) or minimum order value?
No minimum order quantity! We happily print single custom prototypes, giant cosplay pieces, and scale up seamlessly to small-to-medium batch production runs.
What is your standard turnaround time, and do you offerrush processing?
Our standard turnaround time is typically 3 to 5 business days, though it is directly dependent on the size and print time of your model. Extra-large parts that utilize our maximum build volume will naturally require longer print hours. We also offer a rush processing option if you are working against a tight deadline.
Do you offer volume discounts for bulk production runs?
Yes! We offer tiered volume discounts for batch orders of identical parts. The unit price decreases as your quantity increases. Contact us for a custom quote on production runs.
04. Quality, Tolerances & Returns
What dimensional accuracy or tolerances can I expect?
For our FDM setup, typical dimensional tolerances are within ±0.2 mm or 0.5%. If you have critical mating features, press-fits, or tight-tolerance hardware holes, let us know so we can tune our slicing parameters to accommodate them.
What happens if my print has structural defects due to an error?
We inspect all prints before hand-off. If your order has structural defects due to a production error on our end, please contact us within 48 hours of pickup with clear photos, and we will arrange a reprint or resolution.
What is yourreturn policy for custom prints?
Because custom 3D printed parts are made specifically to your digital files and specifications, we cannot accept returns for buyer’s remorse, design errors in the provided file, or incorrect material selection. However, we will always work with you to resolve any production defects.
05. Local Pickup (Toronto, Ontario)
Do you offer shipping?
Currently, we do not offer shipping. All orders are available for local pickup only at our facility in Toronto, Ontario. This allows us to safely hand over your large-format prints directly to you and completely eliminate shipping and transit risks.
Where is local pickup located, and when can I pick up my order?
Our pickup location is in Toronto, ON. Once your print is complete and ready, you will receive a notification email with the exact address, scheduling details, and available pickup windows.
How should I prepare my vehicle forlarge prints (up to 800 x 800 x 1000 mm)?
Because our industrial FDM printers can produce massive parts up to 800 x 800 x 1000 mm, please ensure you bring an appropriately sized vehicle (such as an SUV, hatchback, or truck) to transport your print safely. We will gladly help you load it securely into your vehicle!
